Digital Data Logging unit for HVAC

Attractive solution for data logging and real-time monitoring with industrial standard connectivity features.


This device has ATMEGA328 microcontroller as the processor. An attractive graphical LCD shows all the related temperature and humidity information. We have used two different types of displays. One model is utilized small OLED display for battery powered operation and another model uses TFT LCD.

SHT25 integrated temperature and humidity sensor used for data acquisition. This sensor communicates on the i2c bus and sends data in binary format. Digital data makes interfacing easier compared to analog sensors. We used a micro secure digital (MSD) card for real-time logging and DS3231 rtc module used for accurate time calculation.

This product includes all standard industrial communications, relay outputs, and analog 0-10 volt signaling outputs. Implementations of these features are similar to the load cell measurement device, my first product. Our goal is to implement latest IoT technology in this device. We are developing SCADA on C# which will communicate with the device through Kepware OPC server.
